February 1 Meditation (Sean S. LeBlanc)

It makes sense that someone from the Bitsy community would make something as strange as today’s Meditation.

Sean S. LeBlanc has produced an experience that is almost entirely described by its content warning (“loud noises, flashing lights”). The screen is black, with waves of white and grey pixels moving across it, responding to your mouse movements but not so much that you get any real sense of control.

As with some of the other Meditations, I struggle to connect the experience I had with the intro text, which reads:

some things are meant to last
some things are meant to be
others aren’t meant at all

But I did respond to the feeling of not-quite-control that you get from seeing the world react to your actions but not in a way you could predict.
